Ultrasound (Sonography) is a method which uses harmless sound waves to see images of the inside of the body.
The ultrasonic waves administered by a probe, which is placed on the surface of the skin above the area to be examined.
The sound waves in the body are reflected differently depending on the tissue type, thickness and density (eg, liver, gallbladder), and are then sent back to the transducer.
The measurement data in the device is then converted into a two-dimensional image, which appears on the screen immediately.
The main fields of application here are:
There are no known ultrasound related side effects.
